This past year i was lucky enough to have worked so hard to get a starting spot on the varsity basketball team. My team and I have worked so hard this past year to try and get another region and state championship. We knew that we had to take one step at a time. We were focusing on region before anothing else. We won in our region against a very good team. We won by at least 30 pionts. Then we got the opportunity to cut down the nets for a second year.
The phrase "Hard work pays off" is a very true statement. we come into the state playoffs last year the underdogs. People didnt know what we could do, but this year we were known. We were the people to beat so every team was practicing for us. we had to to the final four and had to play the team we had to play for the state title last year. We ended up winning by 3 point. Then we had to play a every good team the next day. The game was so intense. We ended up winning by 4 points getting the state title for the second year in a row. There is no better feeling than seeing your friends, family, and your school storm onto the court after a victory like that.
